Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) Singapore, Oct 9-11, 2008

Singapore will play host to the Pravasi Bhartiya Divas (PBD), an international conference modeled after the 'Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD)' event, held annually in India. The three-day event, to be held at the Suntec City Convention Centre, is organised by the Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SICCI), the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs (MOIA) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), with support of the Governments of Singapore and India.


This business conference, the second in a series of smaller PBDs organized outside of India, aims to reach out to the Indian Diaspora in the Asia-Pacific and beyond. The event will be graced by several senior dignitaries and business leaders from India and abroad. Besides a keynote address by the Prime Minister of Singapore, Mr. Lee Hsien Loong, there will be interactive diaologues with Mr. Goh Chok Tong, Senior Minister, Singapore and Mr. Lee Kuan Yew, Minister Mentor, Republic of Singaore.

ARTS Singapore 2008, a contemporary art fair, and Zee Carnival 2008 will be co-located at PBD Singapore.
