Complementary half-day Human Capital Seminar to be held on 9 July, 2008
Training Vision is organizing a half-day seminar on Human Capital: Human Capital Development Solutions through a competency-based Software System.
The seminar will be held on Jul 9, 2008 from 2pm-5pm at the Singapore Polytechnic Graduates Guild, 1010 Dover Road, Singapore 139658. The event is targeted at senior management in organizations and those dealing with "human capital", viz. CEOs/VPs/ General Managers/HR Directors/HR Managers/L&D Managers. The seminar will be presented by David Wee, Managing Director of Training Vision and a highly-experienced and well-known practictioner of Organization Development.

Inaugural Social Emotional Learning Conference to be held on Jul 10-11, 2008
The inaugural Social Emotional Learning Conference with the theme, Soft Landings in Hard Places, will be held at the NUS High School Auditorium on July 10-11, 2008.
The conference is targeted at schools and those in the education sector in Singapore and will cover information need, curriculum and program design/development & practical implementation issues with Emotional Intelligence & Social Emotional Learning (SEL). The forum is designed to help those in education to know about the evolution of SEL & current methodologies and practices, learning aids and tools, and best practices.
Speakers at the event will include Dr. Anabel Jensen, President of Six Seconds and a Professor in Education; Mark Sng, a life and career coach and Ian Poulier, a full-time school counselor.
A pioneer in emotional intelligence education, Dr. Jensen has won the Federal Blue Ribbon winner for excellence in education. She is responsible for developing the Self-Science curriculum featured in Daniel Goldman’s book Emotional Intelligence (1995)
